Our Core Values
At Everly East Academy, our core values of Care, Growth and Aspirations guide every aspect of our school community. As a specialist provision supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, we believe that strong relationships, personalised support and a culture of belief are essential for helping young people re-engage with education. Our values shape how we teach, support and work with pupils, ensuring that every learner feels safe, valued and encouraged to reach their potential. Through these principles we aim to create an environment where pupils develop confidence, resilience and the skills needed to build positive futures.
Care
We prioritise strong, supportive relationships and ensure that every pupil feels safe, respected and understood within a nurturing school environment.
Growth
We believe every pupil can develop academically, socially and emotionally when provided with the right support, opportunities and encouragement.
Aspiration
We empower pupils to believe in themselves and develop the confidence, resilience and skills needed to achieve meaningful and positive futures.
Our Ethos
The ethos of Everly East Academy is built on the belief that every child deserves to be seen, understood and supported to succeed. Guided by our commitment that “Every Child Seen, Every Need Met,” we place relationships, wellbeing and personalised support at the centre of our practice. As a specialist provision for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, we recognise that many young people may have experienced barriers to learning or difficulty accessing mainstream education. Our approach focuses on creating a safe, calm and relational environment where pupils feel valued and supported to re-engage with learning.
At Everly East Academy, we believe that strong relationships are the foundation for growth. Staff work collaboratively to build trust, model respect and provide consistent support so that pupils feel emotionally secure and able to develop confidence in themselves and their abilities. Our ethos reflects our values of Care, Growth and Aspirations, ensuring that pupils are nurtured, encouraged and challenged to develop resilience, independence and belief in their future. Through this approach, we aim to help every pupil rebuild confidence in education and develop the skills needed to lead positive and meaningful lives.
Our Views
At Everly East Academy, our views are rooted in the belief that every child deserves to be understood, supported and given the opportunity to succeed. The creation of the school was inspired by a shared commitment to ensuring that young people who struggle to thrive in mainstream environments are provided with a safe, relational and personalised education that recognises their individual needs and strengths.
Central to our approach is the belief that equity is more important than equality. While equality focuses on treating everyone the same, we recognise that many pupils require different levels of support, understanding and opportunity in order to succeed. Equity means providing each pupil with what they need to access learning, develop confidence and make progress. This philosophy has shaped the design of our curriculum, our environment and our relationships with pupils.
Everly East Academy was founded through a deep sense of care, passion and professional expertise. We believe that when pupils feel genuinely cared for and understood, they are more able to engage with learning and develop positive relationships with others. Our staff bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, and they are committed to creating an environment where pupils feel safe, respected and encouraged.
Our views reflect a strong belief in the potential of every young person. By combining compassionate support, high expectations and specialist expertise, we aim to ensure that every pupil has the opportunity to grow, develop and build a positive future.
Our Logo - Explained
"From a doodle and a dream to a passion based business with care, growth and aspiration at the heart."
The Everly East Academy logo represents the values and philosophy that sit at the heart of our school. The concept for the logo originated from a simple drawing created by one of the school’s directors and Headteacher, Jack Beech. In the drawing, three stick figures were shown standing on different numbers of boxes. One figure stood on three boxes, another on two, and another on none.
This illustration was used to demonstrate the difference between equality and equity. While equality would give each person the same number of boxes, equity recognises that individuals need different levels of support in order to reach the same outcome. The drawing showed that although each person may receive something different, they are each given exactly what they need to succeed.
This idea reflects the foundation of Everly East Academy. Our approach ensures that every pupil receives the personalised support they need, recognising that no two learners are the same. The logo therefore represents our commitment to understanding individual needs and ensuring that every child is seen, supported and given the opportunity to grow.
